Is Any.do Free? What the Free Plan Covers and What Premium Adds

You want Any.do to remind you about milk the next time you pass the supermarket. You tap the location option and a Premium screen slides up. That's usually when people start searching "is Any.do free?"

The short answer is yes. Any.do's Personal plan is free with no time limit, and the pricing page says "Free Forever. No credit card." It handles lists, a calendar and basic reminders well. The paywall shows up around advanced recurring reminders, location reminders, WhatsApp, AI-generated lists, and unlimited color tags, notes and files.

We checked everything below against Any.do's own pricing page and help center on 1 November 2026. Other pages quote different prices and trial lengths, usually without a date. Features move between tiers, so treat any undated number with suspicion.

What the free plan includes, and what it doesn't

Any.do has four plans: Personal (free), Premium, Family and Teams. This table follows the help center's comparison chart and the pricing page FAQ.

Recurring reminders are the murky row. The help center's chart puts "basic recurring reminders" under Free and "advanced recurring reminders" under Premium. The pricing page, meanwhile, lists "recurring tasks" as a Premium feature. Neither page says where basic ends and advanced begins, and we couldn't pin it down. If a repeating chore or bill is the reason you're here, set up that exact repeat on the free plan before you pay for anything.

WhatsApp is simpler. On paid plans you type a task to Any.do's WhatsApp bot in plain language, or forward it a message, and the reminder comes back in WhatsApp or as a push notification. The free plan doesn't include it. If chat-based capture is what you're after, our roundup of WhatsApp task manager apps compares the options.

How much Premium costs (and why you'll see two prices)

On the pricing page, Premium is $4.99 a month billed yearly, or $7.99 a month billed monthly, for one user. The other paid plans:

  • Family: $8.33 a month billed yearly, or $9.99 monthly, one price for up to 4 people.
  • Teams: $4.99 per member a month billed yearly, or $7.99 monthly. The help center calls this plan Workspace.

A separate Premium page (any.do/premium) showed a different offer when we checked on 1 November 2026: $5.99 monthly, $4.49 a month for 6 months, and $2.99 a month for 12 months billed yearly, labelled "SAVE 50%". We couldn't confirm which offer applies to which buyer, so go by the price on the checkout screen.

You can pay through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or Stripe on the web and Windows. Where you pay decides where you cancel.

Trials, renewal, cancellation and the 48-hour refund window

Trials last 7 days for Premium and Family and 14 days for Workspace/Teams. Generally you get one trial per plan per account. If you don't cancel before the renewal date, the trial turns into a paid plan on its own. We couldn't verify whether the Premium trial asks for a card, so check the sign-up screen before you start.

To cancel, go back to wherever you paid:

  • Apple: Apple ID > Subscriptions.
  • Google Play: Play > Payments & subscriptions.
  • Web or desktop: Settings > My Profile > Manage Subscription > "Leave Premium".

Deleting the app doesn't cancel the subscription, and neither does deleting your profile. After you cancel, you generally keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

The refund window is short. For Premium and Family, it's 48 hours from payment. Monthly Workspace also gets 48 hours, and yearly Workspace gets 14 days. After that, Any.do doesn't offer partial or prorated refunds. If you bought through Apple or Google, the store handles the refund, not Any.do.

If you start a 7-day trial, put a reminder on day 6. One-time reminders are on the free plan, so this costs nothing.

Who can stay free, and who needs Premium

The free plan is enough if your day runs on to-do lists, grocery lists, a calendar view and one-time reminders, synced between your phone and laptop.

You'll need Premium for any of these:

  • Reminders tied to a place
  • Adding tasks from WhatsApp
  • AI that builds lists and subtasks for you
  • Advanced recurring reminders
  • Lots of notes, files or color tags on personal tasks
  • Zapier connections to other apps

Other tools with a free plan

If you're comparing free tiers, two common alternatives:

  • Todoist has a free plan called Beginner, with 5 projects and 3 filters. Details: is Todoist free.
  • TickTick has a $0 plan with no time limit, 9 lists and 2 reminders per task. Details: is TickTick free.

Where Vyneron fits

We make Vyneron, so read this part with that in mind. Vyneron has no location reminders on any plan. If that's what sent you here, Any.do Premium is the better fit.

Vyneron's Free plan is free with no time limit. The first 7 days are a trial with no card required and 50 AI messages a day. When the trial ends, your tasks, notes and recurring routines stay on Free, and reminders keep coming through Telegram, Slack and push notifications. The AI switches off unless you connect your own API key. WhatsApp is a paid feature here too, available on paid plans and during the trial.

To add a task, send @VyneronAIBot a text, a voice note or a photo in Telegram and it comes back as a task. Here's how that works. If you want the AI back after the trial without your own key, Solo costs $6 a month or $59 a year.
