A list is great for what to do next. It's not great for seeing how work moves. When you've got a dozen tasks at different stages, a flat list flattens exactly the thing you want to see: what's queued, what's parked, and what's done.

TL;DR: Switch from list to Board with one toggle. Your tasks appear in four columns (On hold, Active, In Progress, and Done (7d)), and dragging a task to another column changes its status. Toggle back to the list whenever you want.
What the board looks like
Four columns, left to right, mapped to a task's real status (so the board and your list always agree):
- On hold: things you've parked (waiting on someone, not now, blocked).
- Active: tasks on your plate that you haven't started yet.
- In Progress: what you're working on right now.
- Done (7d): tasks completed in the last 7 days, so the column stays useful instead of becoming an endless archive.
How to use it
- Switch your task view from list to Board. Your choice is remembered in this browser, so it stays however you left it.
- Drag a task to change its status: to In Progress when you start it, to On hold to park it, or to Done to complete it. You don't have to open the task or go through a menu.
- Switch back to the list anytime. The board and the list are two views of the same tasks with the same filters, so use whichever fits the moment.
Why drag-to-done does more than it looks
Dropping a task in Done changes more than its status. If that task was blocking others, its dependents are released at the same time and move to Ready now in your Flows view. If it had subtasks, those are handled too.
Honest limits
- The four columns are fixed. The board reflects task status (On hold / Active / In Progress / Done), and you can't add custom columns or swimlanes. It shows where work stands; it isn't a full project-board builder.
- Blocked tasks stay put. A task that's waiting on another task can't be dragged; finish the blocker first and it's released on its own.
- The Board toggle only appears on wider displays. On a phone you work from the list, since dragging tasks between columns on a small screen is fiddly.
- The Done column shows the last week. Older completed tasks roll out of it to keep it readable, but they're still in your history.

- List: when you just want the next thing to do, or you're capturing fast.
- Board: when you're reviewing everything in flight, parking and unparking tasks, or clearing a batch and want to see progress as you go.
